I'm in the process of making a set of cards for the DC chapter of the Harry Potter Alliance—a nonprofit organization that uses the themes in Harry Potter and the energy of Harry Potter fans to tackle issues of equality, human rights, and literacy. As a volunteer in the DC chapter, I wanted to share the stories of historical and contemporary local activists in order to inspire people to make positive change in our community. I drew from the idea of the Chocolate Frog Cards in the Harry Potter books, which showcase famous witches and wizards, so I could package my information in a way that would interest and excite Harry Potter fans.
